So yea my party is tomorrow and the Denver Post gave it the "Best Bets" for the weekend:

Tomorrow or the day after I'm goin back to Florida. Last time I was there apparently I was rolling around on the beach in white boots. Or something. I remember some muscle car too and a producer who had a girlfriend and I was bummed. Then I went to some Baby Phat party where Mr. Simmons showed up INSTEAD of Kimora which is totally unacceptable and apparently this was before their divorce or seperation or whatever they're going thru. I don't say that lightly I know it's probably hard for them :( . If you don't know me you might think I'm being sarcastic, but I'm not.


This is the "set" for Miami ink where my friend and I went in around 11pm on a Friday after hours cause his homeboy doesn't want to be filmed and still works at night. This was where I got the pink heart tattoo on my right ta ta all Marie Antoinette style or as I imagined Marie Antoinette to have a little pink heart pooching out of her chest all fancy like. Yea that's me. Cept this little pink tattoo didn't heal quite right because it's kind of a portion of a pink heart that I have to fill in with a lipstick pencil and whenever guys see it not filled in I mention that I'm going to get it touched up and they always say, "No don't I like it!" and I'm convinced it's cause they like that I have a damaged broken heart.

Theoretically. Or visually, at least.

But yea...where should I go party in MIAMI? Let a lady know.

Ran into (& met for the first time) Mr. Dj Renato at the Beat Swap Meet. I dug around the swap meet for a couple hours, found some bass & got a testosterone headache by the end (and spent a little over what I had planned). He was selling some boogie/soul & some hip hop upstairs. Either way he's going to be at Funky Sole this SATURDAY which has moved itself to the Echoplex now.

I feel in love with Dash Shaw's comics around 3 or 4 years ago. The first one I read was Love Eats Brain which completely floored me, knocked me in the chest and made me feel that I was in the hands of someone who put his heart into it. When I mentioned my fondness for Love Eats Brains to him he told me his newer ones were better. I'm thinking he probably doesn't have the perspective cause I still hold Love Eats Brains as one of my top favorite comics. Its' simply intuitive & sincere, which I love. This video is a trailer for BodyWorld which you can find up online on his site. You should also pick up The Mother's Mouth which I soaked up in an afternoon. Here's an entry I did on him back in August.

Okay...this one: Killing Spree. I was curious. Friends of friends...of internet friends. And human fleshly friends. I trust and imagine the content to be very good. But since I don't know them personally I can only hope the vibes are inviting and no LA bullshit (please). So I'll probably go and enjoy the sounds...cause this is pretty much up my alley times ten. Almighty Opp is a puppet troupe...they are performing in my neighborhood on Friday. Franken's is a vegan hot dog stand that handed me free chips while some Hollywood hairhooker called me a FAT i.e. he will always live on in my heart. Two days ago I literally said to my honey "I need to find a puppet show to go see," and he said something like "What kind?" and I said "AN AWESOME ONE AND I WILL FIND IT." I can't vouch that I said it exactly like that but anyway this appeared and the button feels threaded and sewn.

Dave the Chimp's video One Line. He made an animation of the graffiti he does which is all done with one line...instead of tagging his name he does draw rings.

I found out about Dave the Chimp's artwork when I found out he made the videos for Robots In Disguise. If you know me I like robots, puppets & doin' it..and all of those things happen in that video.
